Something Wild<\/b>
\n 
\nThere is something wild<\/p>\n

like a red flower opening in the night.<\/p>\n

There is something turning inside out<\/p>\n

slowly and yet fast<\/p>\n

like the blowing of a pink bubble gum balloon as you walk<\/p>\n

away from a cheating lover<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There is something wild.<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t see it, but it\u2019s here<\/p>\n

and that\u2019s what keeps you alive.<\/p>\n

Thanks to it, you see something else, not a tree<\/p>\n

not a moon, not an elephant,<\/p>\n

not a tree growing from the moon eating an elephant<\/p>\n

but something else that the tree, the elephant, you and the moon<\/p>\n

share in secret<\/p>\n

something hidden<\/p>\n

that holds the moon up in the sky<\/p>\n

and the elephant up in the moon<\/p>\n

and you riding the elephant<\/p>\n

something very slow like a kiss<\/p>\n

and yet fast, like the happiness of the line becoming a circle<\/p>\n

something turning you inside out<\/p>\n

that makes you really high<\/p>\n

and really wild.

Sun-bath<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Flock of white birds reaching for the sun<\/p>\n

hundreds of birds abandoning their shadow<\/p>\n

all in one movement<\/p>\n

glistering feathers, burning with love<\/p>\n

rubbing the air to give birth to a spark<\/p>\n

that shimmers on your face<\/p>\n

entering your pupil so it revives<\/p>\n

the red bird of your soul.<\/p>\n

\nHaloween 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Red and blue and yellow and green<\/p>\n

how beautiful you are tonight in the Halloween basket<\/p>\n

just before I hide you from my children<\/p>\n

a feast of colors and smells<\/p>\n

– Skittles, Twix, M & M<\/p>\n

and other strange names coming from a strange world<\/p>\n

in which clarity and confusion<\/p>\n

mingle together around a big breath in and a big breath out<\/p>\n

like clouds momentarily obstructing the sunlight<\/p>\n

there is no warranty in this world<\/p>\n

of red 5 and yellow 7<\/p>\n

you knew someone and the next day he’s gone<\/p>\n

hiding the basket of candies won’t prevent<\/p>\n

cavities, cancer and a diffuse sense of powerless from happening<\/p>\n

Rather keep your heart soft<\/p>\n

and don’t be harsh on yourself<\/p>\n

when you are left with a big basket of candies after Halloween<\/p>\n

whether you eat it or not,<\/p>\n

is less important<\/p>\n

than spending this suspended moment of silence in front of it<\/p>\n

letting the colors, the fragrances, and even their intrinsic vice<\/p>\n

pass your heart and your senses<\/p>\n

like clouds momentarily obstructing the sunlight<\/p>\n

with a big smile on your face<\/p>\n

before hiding it from your children.<\/p>\n
