Dusk Front<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I saw lines of shadow cross my backyard and seep through the dry soil. With erasure inbound, no more will we lament the loss of a friend. The day ends with the drought of wordy creases, so much that I cannot feel myself think about what had happened.<\/p>\n

Reluctance<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Your eyes were drooping, perhaps from the elevated wind. I tried to catch your attention by waving a paper bag. I saw no major reaction, but you probably glanced through your peripheral vision, even if for half a second. There was no major cross-reaction when you reached for my hand. I didn\u2019t even feel it.<\/p>\n

Shaped Out of the Trial<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I changed my shape to fit<\/p>\n

your demands of innocence:<\/p>\n

you required someone that could tweak<\/p>\n

facial expressions (snapshot check my work).<\/p>\n

For the remainder of my trial,<\/p>\n

there was no scandal when you approved<\/p>\n

my shabby work such that the government<\/p>\n

dished out \u201cAha!\u201d in response to that disinformation.<\/p>\n

Like a snaking path mastered by trial and error,<\/p>\n

Ghost<\/strong><\/p>\n

The ghost town fed for a day<\/p>\n

during the battle for dollars.<\/p>\n

Not so bad for being away from Czarists,<\/p>\n

and the denied furniture, disks, or fence<\/p>\n

felt exhausted, ashamed.<\/p>\n

Should they support pricey shares<\/p>\n

of snow angstroms and shotgun shabby?<\/p>\n

Muddle the shadow into jasmine bonds.<\/p>\n

3:24 AM on Sunday <\/strong><\/p>\n

Hint of light flashed<\/p>\n

through window panes<\/p>\n

and barely a tremble from the seats.<\/p>\n

As the final call for remaining passengers<\/p>\n

came from across the aisle,<\/p>\n

I mistakenly heard the wince<\/p>\n

of an unconscious cat<\/p>\n

waiting for a lap of warm milk.<\/p>\n

Cinderbox<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

ashes spread out on the ground<\/p>\n

the culprit<\/p>\n

not around this part of town<\/p>\n

people will stop and glance<\/p>\n

illegal<\/p>\n

move on step away from the crime scene<\/p>\n
