Back in her holy chamber of secrets, lust and sin,
\nShe plays for me the Maiden, the Goddess and the Queen;
\nM\u00e9lange of scarlet flowers, she blossoms in my arms
\nAnd offering me pleasure, she\u2019s gambling with her chance.<\/p>\n

Fireheart and frozen tears, Angel of Passion rules the game\u2026
\nBleeding on your naked body, I am whispering your name;
\nIn the mists of our ardor, I kneel down, you rise above:
\nLet me taste your heaven, darling: I am praying to thy love.<\/p>\n

And for one single divine hour, be my shameless Valentine\u2026
\nIf our souls shall burn in fire, may the blame be only mine;
\nFlesh against flesh and mouth to mouth, writing your lovespells on my lips:
\n\u201eThe velvet scarf to tie my hands!\u201d \u2013 the candle dies and Virtue sleeps.<\/p>\n

Waterfalls of golden hair\u2026 in your eye I see delight!
\nMy nymph lures me to her altar, I\u2019m in love but she\u2019s not quite;
\nI fondle her shapely wonders \u2013 who\u2019s the panther, who\u2019s the dove?…
\nSet the trap for me, my dear: you are preying on my love.<\/p>\n

In our bed of guilt and roses, now she gasps in my embrace,
\nMurmuring sweet words of sorrow, placing kisses on my face;
\nShe betrays to save our friendship, to my heart she holds the key\u2026
\nI never fail to bring her pleasure \u2013 she never fails to harm me.<\/p>\n

OLIVIU CR\u00c2ZNIC <\/strong>(b. 1978) is a Romanian writer, literary critic, poet, translator, anthologist and legal advisor. He published the Gothic novel \u2026And Then The Nigthmare Came At Last<\/em> (Vremea Publishing House, 2010), described by M. Pric\u0103jan (in the celebrated cultural magazine Familia<\/em>) as \u201cThe Walpole Moment in Romanian literature\u201d. He was labelled as \u201cMr Gothic\u201d in More Family Chronicles<\/em> (Limes Publishing House, 2014), a book written by a famous literary critic, the recently knighted for \u201cCultural Merit\u201d M. Opri\u021b\u0103. He further published short stories and novelettes (most can be found in the special edition volume The Witching Hour<\/em>, 2015, Crux Publishing House), very well received by the critics and the public. He is a contributor of various celebrated anthologies and magazines, alongside important names of the classic (Algernon Blackwood, Arthur Conan Doyle, Robert E. Howard, Rudyard Kipling, H.P. Lovecraft, George MacDonald, Guy de Maupassant, Saki) or contemporary (George R.R. Martin, Kim Stanley Robinson, Paolo Bacigalupi, Ian R. MacLeod, John Shirley) universal literature. He won numerous national and international prizes (2011 Galileo Best SF<\/em>&Fantasy Volume Award<\/em>, 2012<\/em> European Society of Science Fiction Eurocon Encouragement Award<\/em>, 2015 RomCon Best Article Award<\/em> etc.). He was a Bucharest International Literature Festival<\/em> 7th<\/sup> Edition<\/em> (2014)<\/em> moderator (for The Science Fiction Evening<\/em>, special guests: Richard K. Morgan and Paul J. McAuley) and a Final Frontier Bookfair 4th<\/sup> Edition (2015)<\/em> special guest.<\/p>\n
