Howard (1906-1936) care au \u00een prim-plan personajul Conan Barbarul: <em>Misterul f\u00e2nt\u00e2nii blestemante<\/em> \u0219i <em>O vr\u0103jitoare se va na\u0219te,<\/em> ambele ap\u0103rute anul trecut. Devenit un simbol cultural prin numeroase ecraniz\u0103ri, anima\u021bii, benzi desenate, inclusiv ,,jocuri de societate (de tip <em>boardgame<\/em>)\u2019\u2019\u0219i cu o imagine fixat\u0103 de interpretarea lui Arnold Schwarzenegger \u00een cele dou\u0103 filme din anii \u201980 \u2013 <em>Conan the Barbarian<\/em> \u0219i <em>Conan the Destroyer<\/em> \u2013, personajul concis descris reprezint\u0103 nu doar hipermasculinitatea pentru care nicio dificultate nu este insurmontabil\u0103 \u0219i niciun oponent de ne\u00eenvins, dar \u0219i o idee de libertate \u00een afara rigorilor civiliza\u021biei. Howard fac parte personajele Red Sonja \u0219i Solomon Kane. <em>\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Scriind despre ,,another age, another way of life\u2019\u2019, a\u0219a cum se exprim\u0103 versiunea sa cinematografic\u0103 \u2013 interpretat\u0103 de Vincent D\u2019Onofrio \u2013 \u00een biograficul <em>The Whole Wide World <\/em>(1996), Robert E. Howard este creatorul subgenului literaturii fantasy numit sword&amp;sorcery, tipul proz\u0103 \u00een care scenarii medievale \u00eent\u00e2lnesc supranaturalul \u0219i magia, iar universul fictiv se sprijin\u0103 pe sursele Antichit\u0103\u021bii, \u00een special \u00een <em>Istoriile<\/em> lui Herodot, al c\u0103rui \u021binut hiperborean inspir\u0103 Hiboria \u2013 o er\u0103 ulterioar\u0103 scufund\u0103rii Atlantidei, \u00een care se g\u0103sesc state fictive precum Khauran condus de regina Taramis sau Chitaia, vizibil modelat\u0103 dup\u0103 impresiile c\u0103l\u0103torilor europeni asupra Chinei imperiale. Howard este anistoric\u0103, un univers aflat \u00eentre preistorie, antichitate \u0219i evul mediu timpuriu: a se vedea deosebirea \u00eentre un spa\u021biu occidental stabil \u0219i cu forma\u021biuni politice \u00eentinse versus un orient f\u0103r\u00e2mi\u021bat \u0219i m\u0103cinat de conflicte, din nuvela <em>O vr\u0103jitoare se va na\u0219te.<\/em> Toate aceste statalit\u0103\u021bi fic\u021bionale sunt str\u0103b\u0103tute de o atmosfer\u0103 decadent\u0103 \u00een care totul tinde c\u0103tre disolu\u021bie. Protagonistul Conan, de\u0219i \u00eenfr\u00e2nge orice adversar, uman sau supranatural, reu\u0219e\u0219te doar s\u0103 restabileasc\u0103 un echilibru provizoriu. Howard r\u0103spunde: ,,Well, in the civilization we live in, men become more depraved and demonic all the time.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Public\u00e2ndu-\u0219i povestirile tip <em>pulp <\/em>(termen care, a\u0219a cum ne putem aminti din explica\u021biile oferite la \u00eenceputul filmului <em>Pulp Fiction<\/em>, denume\u0219te proze senza\u021bionaliste \u0219i tip\u0103rite pe h\u00e2rtie de calitate slab\u0103) \u00een revista <em>Weird Tales<\/em> (\u00een care a publicat \u0219i H.P. Cum scriam la \u00eenceput, Conan Barbarul este un exponent al libert\u0103\u021bii, cu propriul sistem etic, prezentat \u00een ipostaze specifice: pirat pe o corabie \u00een <em>Misterul f\u00e2nt\u00e2nii blestemante <\/em>\u0219i conduc\u0103tor al unei oaste de <em>marauders<\/em> \u00een <em>O vr\u0103jitoare se va na\u0219te. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pentru cei nefamiliariza\u021bi cu acest tip de literatur\u0103, este util\u0103 trecerea \u00een revist\u0103 a con\u021binutului celor dou\u0103 povestiri de fa\u021b\u0103. \u00cen <em>Misterul f\u00e2nt\u00e2nii blestemante, <\/em>Conan devine c\u0103pitanul unui echipaj de pira\u021bi prin uciderea competi\u021biei \u2013 precedentul c\u0103pitan Zamoravo \u2013 doar pentru ca el \u0219i echipajul s\u0103 \u00eenfrunte un grup de fiin\u021be monstruoase care transform\u0103 oamenii \u00een statuete pietrificate. \u00cen final, apa verde \u2013 lichidul vital care sus\u021binea monstruozit\u0103\u021bile \u2013\u00a0 se transform\u0103 \u00eentr-un torent antropomorf de care personajele pot sc\u0103pa doar \u00een momentul \u00een care ajung la bordul corabiei. Dup\u0103 dep\u0103\u0219irea pericolelor, Conan \u00ee\u0219i afirm\u0103 autonomia: ,,Suntem meni\u021bi s\u0103 str\u0103batem m\u0103rile ca s\u0103 g\u0103sim porturi \u00eembel\u0219ugate \u0219i cor\u0103bii negustore\u0219ti ticsite de bog\u0103\u021bii!\u2019\u2019 \u00cen <em>O vr\u0103jitoare se va na\u0219te, <\/em>sora vr\u0103jitoare a reginei Taramis\u00a0 \u00eei uzurp\u0103 tronul \u0219i instituie o domnie tiranic\u0103. Asta \u00eensemn\u00e2nd jefuirea localnicilor, ritualuri orgiastice, sacrificii umane f\u0103cute at\u00e2t de sacerdo\u021bi care practic\u0103 orice \u00een afara compasiunii, c\u00e2t \u0219i de un monstru aflat sub controlul vr\u0103jitoarei malefice. Rolul lui Conan? \u00cenl\u0103turat din pozi\u021bia de c\u0103pitan al g\u0103rzilor reginei Taramis, crucificat, salvat de o band\u0103 de jefuitori a c\u0103rei conducere o preia, scap\u0103 de tiranie regatul reginei Taramis \u0219i este afirmat\u0103 aceea\u015fi independen\u021b\u0103: ,,Nu sunt, oricum, f\u0103cut s\u0103 patrulez pe culoare de marmur\u0103.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Concluzion\u00e2nd, oricine este pasionat de proza lui Robert E. Howard, un clasic al literaturii fantasy, cele dou\u0103 volume ap\u0103rute la <em>Crux Publishing<\/em> sunt exact ceea ce caut\u0103.
