Kiernan<em> \u2013 Fat\u0103 \u00eenec\u00e2ndu-se: O autobiografie<\/em>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: green;\">(Studii fantastice)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">de Oliviu Cr\u00e2znic<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Caitl\u00edn R[ebekah] Kiernan (n\u0103scut\u0103 \u00een 1964, \u00een Irlanda; \u00een prezent, tr\u0103ie\u0219te \u00een Statele Unite ale Americii) este specialist\u0103 \u00een paleontologie, muzician\u0103 (Death`s Little Sister, Crimson Stain Mystery) \u0219i scriitoare, de\u021bin\u0103toare a numeroase premii (\u201eBram Stoker\u201d, \u201eLocus\u201d \u0219.a.).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Criticul S.T. Joshi (cunoscut mai cu seam\u0103 pentru studiile sale privind opera lui H.P. Lovecraft) o situeaz\u0103 printre marii stili\u0219ti ai literaturii straniului, al\u0103turi de Edgar Allan Poe sau Lord Dunsany.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/vgy.me\/EjzuL1.jpg?w=812&#038;ssl=1\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dintre operele semnate de Caitl\u00edn R. Kiernan, amintim romanele <em>Silk<\/em> (1998), <em>Threshold<\/em> (2001), <em>Beowulf<\/em> (2007), <em>The Red Tree<\/em> (2009).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Fat\u0103 \u00eenec\u00e2ndu-se: O autobiografie<\/em> (<em>The Drowning Girl: A Memoir<\/em>, 2012) a ap\u0103rut pe pia\u0163a rom\u00e2neasc\u0103 de carte \u00een anul 2015, la Editura Paladin, \u00een cadrul colec\u021biei \u201eFantasy\u201d (coordonate, la vremea respectiv\u0103, de Michael Haulic\u0103).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Raportat la teoria literar\u0103, <em>Fat\u0103 \u00eenec\u00e2ndu-se<\/em> apar\u021bine stilului func\u0163ional beletristic, curentului literar al realismului halucinatoriu, categoriei estetice a straniului, genului literar epic, speciei literare (din punct de vedere formal \u0219i, respectiv, tematic) a romanului gotic, subspeciei literare a goticului psihologic (contemporan).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Din punct de vedere al literaturii comparate, romanul poate fi asociat unor opere literare precum <em>Drood<\/em> (Dan Simmons, 2009), dar \u0219i (\u00eentr-o oarecare m\u0103sur\u0103) unor opere literare precum <em>\u00cen r\u0103sp\u0103r<\/em> (<em>\u00c0 rebours<\/em>; J.K. Huysmans, 1884) sau <em>Portretul lui Dorian Gray<\/em> (<em>The Picture of Dorian Gray<\/em>; Oscar Wilde, 1890).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Opinii critice favorabile c\u0103r\u021bii a formulat, printre al\u021bii, scriitorul Peter Straub.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Subiectul romanului \u00eel constituie halucinanta poveste de dragoste tr\u0103it\u0103 de naratoare (o t\u00e2n\u0103r\u0103 artist\u0103 schizofrenic\u0103) cu \u00eent\u00e2mpl\u0103toarea ei coleg\u0103 de apartament (o t\u00e2n\u0103r\u0103 transsexual\u0103), \u00een rela\u021bia celor dou\u0103 intervenind obsesiv o misterioas\u0103 femeie (siren\u0103? v\u00e2rcolac? \u00eenchipuire?) \u00eent\u00e2lnit\u0103 de protagonist\u0103 \u00een circumstan\u021be nel\u0103murite.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Temele literare centrale sunt iubirea \u0219i arta \u2013 insist\u00e2ndu-se, mai cu seam\u0103, asupra aspectelor neconven\u021bionale ale acestora. Kiernan ofer\u0103 un adev\u0103rat recital cultural, sus\u021binut prin informa\u021bii interesante (precum istoria sumbr\u0103 \u0219i prea pu\u021bin cunoscut\u0103 a unor basme celebre) ori prin crearea unor personaje din lumea artei, \u00een a c\u0103ror biografie recunoa\u0219tem biografiile \u00eempletite ale unor scriitori \u0219i pictori faimo\u0219i; pe de alt\u0103 parte, ca \u00een majoritatea scrierilor contemporane, modul \u00een care este tratat\u0103 problematic\u0103 sexualit\u0103\u021bii ambigue confer\u0103 operei un caracter propagandistic, care pune \u00een umbr\u0103, din p\u0103cate, povestea propriu-zis\u0103 (altminteri captivant\u0103 \u0219i bine scris\u0103).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dintre motivele literare, not\u0103m tabloul blestemat (fictivul <em>Fat\u0103 \u00eenec\u00e2ndu-se<\/em>, atribuit la fel de fictivului Phillip George Saltonstall \u0219i devenit laitmotiv al romanului), dandismul, condi\u021bia geniului, obsesia, nebunia, delirul, ondina, licantropia, tribadismul, triunghiul amoros, drama artistului, alienarea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Autoarea alege s\u0103 utilizeze, cu prec\u0103dere, tehnici narative precum: jurnalul, falsa biografie \u0219i falsa autobiografie, naratorul necreditabil (exager\u00e2nd, \u00een c\u00e2teva r\u00e2nduri, sub acest aspect, de pild\u0103 prin redarea unor informa\u021bii pe care \u00eendat\u0103 dup\u0103 aceea le calific\u0103 drept false, \u00een loc s\u0103 permit\u0103 cititorului s\u0103 descopere singur neautenticitatea acestora), poliedrul, deconstruc\u021bia, anticiparea, introspec\u021bia, retrospec\u0163ia, colajul \u0219i \u2013 nu \u00een ultimul r\u00e2nd \u2013 povestirea \u00een ram\u0103 (Kiernan realiz\u00e2nd un echilibru remarcabil al planurilor narative principale \u0219i secundare, evit\u00e2nd cu dib\u0103cie capcana monotoniei \u0219i pe aceea a digresiunilor).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Predomin\u0103 registrul lingvistic cult (confirm\u00e2ndu-se aser\u021biunea lui Joshi, mai sus men\u021bionat\u0103), interfer\u00e2nd (nepotrivit, dar \u2013 din fericire \u2013 sporadic) cu registrul lingvistic trivial.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Concluzion\u00e2nd, <em>Fat\u0103 \u00eenec\u00e2ndu-se<\/em> se adreseaz\u0103, cu prec\u0103dere, iubitorilor de literatur\u0103 decadentist\u0103, estetist\u0103, suprarealist\u0103, postmodernist\u0103.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">*<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Despre autorul rubricii: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>OLIVIU CR\u00c2ZNIC <\/strong>(n. 1978; p\u0103rin\u021bii: Oliviu, prof. eviden\u021biat gr. Vremea). Ulterior, a publicat numeroase povestiri \u015fi nuvelete (majoritatea se reg\u0103sesc \u00een volumul de colec\u021bie <em>Ceasul fantasmelor<\/em>, Ed. Crux Publishing, 2015), foarte bine primite de critic\u0103 \u015fi de public, \u015fi a c\u00e2\u015ftigat numeroase premii, inclusiv un premiu acordat de Societatea European\u0103 de Science Fiction. A fost publicat \u00een diverse antologii \u015fi reviste al\u0103turi de nume importante ale literaturii universale contemporane (G.R.R. Martin) sau clasice (A.C. Doyle, R.E. Howard, R.
