personal mud pies<\/p>\n

mulch of my<\/p>\n

earthen history<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There is always a knowing<\/p>\n

an understanding<\/p>\n

a remembering<\/p>\n

adding each of us<\/p>\n

to the sum total<\/p>\n

of all of us.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Early Morning<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Awakening as house still clings to a nighttime chill,<\/p>\n

seemingly my own self as stars begin to fade<\/p>\n

and lingering dreams seek other shores.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s early, muscle, bone, mind, and stomach<\/p>\n

have yet to protest as this today<\/p>\n

embraces and consecrates our home.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

no exit from<\/p>\n

hallways of grief<\/p>\n

for those who<\/p>\n

build them<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There are immense expanses<\/p>\n

wrapped within the<\/p>\n

sugared mists of dawn<\/p>\n

The kisses of ripe plums,<\/p>\n

the musical threads within,<\/p>\n

behind and before<\/p>\n

each of us<\/p>\n

as if, after these many years,<\/p>\n

the lingering taste<\/p>\n

of grandma\u2019s<\/p>\n
