Acesta este aventura lui Randoplh Carter din romanul scurt <em>\u00cen c\u0103utarea cet\u0103\u021bii Kadath<\/em>. \u00censpre acela\u0219i scop sunt \u00eendreptate c\u0103ut\u0103rile lui Barzai din povestirea <em>Zeii ceilal\u021bi<\/em>. Dac\u0103 privim aceste nara\u021biuni prin prisma unui concept augustinian, \u0219i ad\u0103ug\u0103m la aceast\u0103 prism\u0103 de interpretare una dintre ideile constante ale filosofiei lui E. Cioran, aceste povestiri se pot citi ca ni\u0219te c\u0103ut\u0103ri (e\u0219uate) ale paradisului pierdut. Ajuns acolo omul nu mai este str\u0103in, iar pelerinajul lui sf\u00e2r\u0219e\u0219te.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dac\u0103 privind operele lovecraftiene enumerate mai sus prin prisma acestei distinc\u021bii se poate contura o unitate filosofic\u0103, tematic\u0103 \u0219i de mesaj, \u00eentre acele opere, dintre care voi eviden\u021bia <em>\u00cen c\u0103utarea cet\u0103\u021bii Kadath<\/em>, blestemul individua\u021biei din opera lui Cioran, \u0219i <em>Castelul<\/em> lui Kafka, v\u0103zut \u00een lumina interpret\u0103rii lui Camus din <em>Mitul lui Sisif<\/em>. Se cere \u00eens\u0103 a se stabili chiar aici limita compara\u021biei dintre Lovecraft \u0219i Augustin: aceasta func\u021bioneaz\u0103 numai \u00een m\u0103sura \u00een care afirm\u0103 faptul \u00eenstr\u0103in\u0103rii existen\u021biale a omului, adic\u0103 a condamn\u0103rii sale de a fi str\u0103in \u00een acest veac, de a fi un c\u0103l\u0103tor care tr\u0103ie\u0219te certitudinea c\u0103 \u021bara lui este altundeva, \u0219i din acest motiv nu poate accepta locul \u00een care se afl\u0103 aici \u0219i acum. Nu mai este nevoie s\u0103 men\u021bionez c\u00e2t de diferit\u0103 este concep\u021bia lor fa\u021ba de transcendent. Ajuns \u00een patrie, omul lui Augustin ajunge \u00eentr-un loc cu des\u0103v\u00e2r\u0219ire bun \u2013 ajunge \u00een Cetatea Dumnezeului Iubitor \u0219i Milostiv.
