interzicerea unor autori \u0219i eliminarea din biblioteci a scrierilor \u201enes\u0103n\u0103toase\u201d, propaganda desf\u0103\u0219urat\u0103 prin \u201eNoua cultur\u0103\u201d (\u201eideile a\u0219a-zise revolu\u021bionare erau de-o platitudine \u00eensp\u0103im\u00e2nt\u0103toare, dar debitate cu o pre\u021biozitate ce te uluia\u201d), mu\u0219amalizarea adev\u0103rului istoric \u201eca s\u0103 nu se supere Marx\u201d \u0219i \u201edesfiin\u021barea memoriei pentru ca urma\u0219ii no\u0219tri s\u0103 nu mai g\u0103seasc\u0103 nici un sprijin spiritual \u0219i nici un temei de m\u00e2ndrie\u201d; discursul \u0219i comportamentul \u201epe linie\u201d politic\u0103 (\u201elozinca va lua locul con\u0219tiin\u021bei\u201d); \u00eenfierarea religiei drept \u201emedievale\u201d \u0219i etichetarea literaturii fantastice drept \u201epentru copii\u201d; \u201er\u0103sturnarea criteriilor\u201d (devenite \u201epur cantitative, [&#8230;] precise\u201d; \u201e\u00centr-o ambian\u021b\u0103 \u00eencurajat\u0103 de atari criterii, lipsa de talent \u00ee\u0219i face loc cu coatele, descuraj\u00e2nd orice aspira\u021bie mai \u00eenalt\u0103\u201d) \u0219i relativizarea moralei (\u201eMorala, cu normele ei cunoscute, era socotit\u0103 ca un fenomen desuet, feudalo-burghez [&#8230;] urma s\u0103 \u00eendure profunde modific\u0103ri, s\u0103 primeasc\u0103 chiar o nou\u0103 defini\u021bie\u201d); ajungerea \u00een pozi\u021bii importante din administra\u021bia \u021b\u0103rii a unor reprezentan\u021bi ai diverselor minorit\u0103\u021bi, \u00een ciuda crasei incompeten\u021be dovedite de ace\u0219tia; elogierea opera\u021biilor chirurgicale de schimbare a sexului (urmate de schimbarea aferent\u0103 a actului de identitate \u0219i de c\u0103s\u0103torie) efectuate legal \u00een clinicile bucure\u0219tene; \u00eenfierarea \u201ena\u021bionalismului\u201d, moda\/politica denun\u021b\u0103rii oric\u0103rui \u201edu\u0219man al poporului\u201d, de multe ori de c\u0103tre studen\u021bi (care \u201ese compl\u0103ceau \u00een rolul inedit de agitatori \u0219i organizau cum se pricepeau studen\u021bimea \u00een grupuri afiliate\u201d, \u201etineri cu priviri vigilente \u0219i dezagreabile [&#8230;] recruta\u021bi \u00eentr-adins \u00een acest scop\u201d), \u0219i a unor acuza\u021bii de \u201e\u0219ovinism\u201d ori de \u201enazism\u201d \u00eenso\u021bite de argumente v\u0103dit absurde; dispari\u021bia (for\u021bat\u0103 a) micilor afaceri comerciale; transformarea omului \u00eentr-un \u201eautomat al muncii\u201d (cu \u201eorar precis, [&#8230;] rigorile unei condici de prezen\u021b\u0103 \u0219i [&#8230;] o norm\u0103 ce se fixa prin ucaz\u201d, \u201esinonim al \u00eenchisorii\u201d, \u201ede fapt o metod\u0103 de exterminare a dorin\u021bei de a mai tr\u0103i\u201d a \u201erobilor\u201d, for\u021ba\u021bi apoi s\u0103-\u0219i manifeste \u201e\u00een chip spontan entuziasmul convingerilor cu care au fost \u00eendopa\u021bi la cursuri serale\u201d, \u201es\u0103 defileze \u0219i s\u0103 aplaude c\u0103 le place robia\u201d); \u00eenmul\u021birea necontenit\u0103 a \u201edificult\u0103\u021bilor birocratice\u201d \u0219i a \u0219edin\u021belor \u201ecare ne uscau sufletul \u0219i cerul gurii\u201d, cu munca propriu-zis\u0103 deseori anulat\u0103 \u201epentru a face posibil\u0103 c\u00e2te o foarte \u00abimportant\u0103\u00bb \u00eentrunire\u201d; intruziunea \u00een via\u021ba personal\u0103 (\u201eOrice trai \u0219i orice rela\u021bii intereseaz\u0103 de aproape noua ordine\u201d); \u0219.a.m.d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nu <em>Luntrea lui Caron<\/em> \u201eper se\u201d constituie obiectul micului nostru studiu fantastic (am sim\u021bit \u00eens\u0103 nevoia digresiunii de mai sus, dat\u0103 fiind importan\u021ba cov\u00e2r\u0219itoare pe care cunoa\u0219terea modului \u00een care a fost instaurat\u0103 dictatura comunist\u0103 a c\u0103p\u0103tat-o \u00een ace\u0219ti ani, importan\u021b\u0103, din p\u0103cate, prea pu\u021bin con\u0219tientizat\u0103 de c\u0103tre o mare parte a popula\u021biei). Ne intereseaz\u0103 doar un fragment (nu foarte scurt) care face (\u00eentr-un mod absolut surprinz\u0103tor) not\u0103 discordant\u0103 cu realismul autobiografic al restului textului \u0219i care, consider\u0103m, ar fi trebuit publicat separat (eventual, sub titlul<strong><em> [O noapte de Sf\u00e2ntu Niculae]<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 fiind, practic, o excep\u021bional\u0103 nuvelet\u0103 gotic\u0103).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nuveleta \u00eencepe odat\u0103 cu al doilea paragraf al capitolului al XII-lea, p. 308[3] (\u201e\u00cen ajun de Sf\u00e2ntu Niculae plec de-acas\u0103\u201d &#8230;), \u0219i se \u00eencheie odat\u0103 cu capitolul al XIII-lea, p. 338 (&#8230; \u201ealternativa: sfin\u021benie sau<em> delirium tremens<\/em>.\u201d).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Personajul principal, naratorul, este un \u201ealter ego\u201d al lui L. Blaga, un poet \u201edecadent\u201d \u0219i \u201eidealist\u201d, stimat \u00een perioada interbelic\u0103, interzis de c\u0103tre comuni\u0219tii afla\u021bi acum la putere. El \u00ee\u0219i viziteaz\u0103 doi cunoscu\u021bi \u2013 so\u021b \u0219i so\u021bie \u2013 care tr\u0103iesc la un han izolat \u0219i se \u00eendeletnicesc, printre altele, cu trecerea c\u0103l\u0103torilor de pe un mal pe altul al Mure\u0219ului, contra cost, prin intermediul unui brod (\u201ebrodnicii\u201d au \u0219i obiceiul de a face frond\u0103, cam imprudent, proasp\u0103t instauratei or\u00e2nduiri sociale). So\u021bul, preot r\u0103mas f\u0103r\u0103 slujb\u0103 preo\u021beasc\u0103, departe de a fi vreun sf\u00e2nt, este, dimpotriv\u0103, desfr\u00e2nat, violent \u0219i lacom (\u201epurta \u00een sine [&#8230;] un suflet de \u00ab\u021b\u0103ran\u00bb, unul de \u00abc\u0103lug\u0103r\u00bb, unul de \u00abfaun\u00bb \u0219i unul de \u00abbrut\u0103\u00bb). So\u021bia, foarte u\u0219uratic\u0103, se crede poet\u0103 \u0219i este \u00eendr\u0103gostit\u0103 de mentorul ei, naratorul \u2013 care, la r\u00e2ndul s\u0103u, nu este chiar u\u0219\u0103 de biseric\u0103.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cu asemenea personaje, ne a\u0219tept\u0103m ca, la han, s\u0103 aib\u0103 loc \u00eent\u00e2mpl\u0103ri nu tocmai cumin\u021bi; mai mult dec\u00e2t at\u00e2t, \u00eenc\u0103 din primele momente ale lecturii, afl\u0103m c\u0103 \u201ePe-afar\u0103 miroase a lup!\u201d \u2013 \u0219i, iat\u0103, cadrul (incontestabil gotic!) este stabilit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00cen continuare, paginile nuveletei redau o (aproape) orgie: at\u00e2t din l\u0103comie, c\u00e2t \u0219i din perversiune, preotul pune la cale un spectacol erotic (f\u0103r\u0103 a include \u0219i un act sexual propriu-zis) la care naratorului i se permite s\u0103 asiste \u00een schimbul unei mari sume de bani. Ulterior, \u00eens\u0103, \u00een vreme ce noaptea (de Sf\u00e2ntul Nicolae) se las\u0103 sumbru, \u201efaunul\u201d d\u0103 semne c\u0103 regret\u0103 modul imoral \u00een care a exploatat frumuse\u021bea so\u021biei sale \u0219i \u00eencepe s\u0103 consume alcool, f\u0103r\u0103 de m\u0103sur\u0103. Discu\u021biile protagoni\u0219tilor alunec\u0103 spre pericolul prezentat de lupi, preotul preg\u0103tind, pentru orice eventualitate, un pistol \u0219i \u021bin\u00e2ndu-l la \u00eendem\u00e2n\u0103. Brodnicii povestesc \u0219i unele \u201efapte neobi\u0219nuite\u201d (minuni) despre care auziser\u0103 recent \u0219i pe care naratorul, ra\u021bionalist, le prive\u0219te cu scepticism. Dup\u0103 care, misterul p\u0103\u0219e\u0219te direct \u00een scen\u0103.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00cen ciuda orei \u00eenaintate din noapte, un cioban straniu (ochii \u00eei sunt \u201efosforescen\u021bi, ca la fiare [&#8230;] precum pe \u00eentuneric c\u0103tranul umezit \u00een palm\u0103\u201d \u2013 impresie pe care naratorul se str\u0103duie\u0219te s\u0103 o atribuie unui efect de lumin\u0103, f\u0103r\u0103 a reu\u0219i s\u0103 se autoconving\u0103 pe deplin \u2013 \u0219i poart\u0103 un cojoc murdar, care pare a fi fost \u201et\u00e2r\u00e2t prin cenu\u0219\u0103 pe la toate vetrele\u201d) solicit\u0103 o trecere cu brodul a turmei sale de (dou\u0103 mii!) oi, pretinz\u00e2nd c\u0103 podul a fost luat de ape. Solicitarea este suspect\u0103 \u2013 afar\u0103 nu se aude nici un beh\u0103it \u0219i nici zgomot de t\u0103l\u0103ngi (\u00een ciuda num\u0103rului foarte mare de oi declarat), iar mu\u0219teriul, ocolind \u00eentrebarea despre locul s\u0103u de ba\u0219tin\u0103, se arat\u0103, \u00een schimb, deosebit de darnic, pl\u0103tind \u00een galbeni interzi\u0219i, care par proasp\u0103t turna\u021bi \u0219i care par a forma de la sine un fi\u0219ic, atunci c\u00e2nd sunt azv\u00e2rli\u021bi, neglijent, pe mas\u0103. Mai mult, el arunc\u0103 o privire plin\u0103 de t\u00e2lc naratorului \u0219i femeii, \u00een momentul \u00een care so\u021bul se decide s\u0103 \u00eei accepte solicitarea (so\u021bia urm\u00e2nd a r\u0103m\u00e2ne, astfel, \u00eentreaga noapte, singur\u0103 cu \u201eprietenul\u201d).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Circumstan\u021bele au devenit, a\u0219adar, c\u00e2t se poate de propice comiterii adulterului. Aman\u021bii sunt, \u00eens\u0103, \u00eentrerup\u021bi \u00een mod brutal din \u00eembr\u0103\u021bi\u0219\u0103rile pasionale: o \u00eempu\u0219c\u0103tur\u0103 se aude, nea\u0219teptat, \u00een imediata apropiere a hanului. Panicat\u0103, femeia (lipsit\u0103 de orice \u00eembr\u0103c\u0103minte) se gr\u0103be\u0219te s\u0103 p\u0103r\u0103seasc\u0103 odaia cu ajutorul ferestrei. Preotul intr\u0103, surescitat p\u00e2n\u0103 la nebunie: \u201eturma de dou\u0103 mii de oi\u201d a ciobanului, pe care a fost for\u021bat s\u0103 o treac\u0103 peste Mure\u0219, era \u2013 strig\u0103 el \u00eengrozit \u2013 o &#8230; hait\u0103 de dou\u0103 mii de lupi! Iar ciobanul \u2013 sus\u021bine el, b\u00e2lb\u00e2indu-se \u2013 era &#8230; \u00eensu\u0219i diavolul!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Naratorul, nelini\u0219tit at\u00e2t datorit\u0103 ipostazei compromi\u021b\u0103toare (\u0219i riscante, av\u00e2nd \u00een vedere firea violent\u0103 \u0219i starea de ebrietate \u0219i de agita\u021bie ale so\u021bului \u00eencornorat) \u00een care aproape c\u0103 fusese surprins, c\u00e2t \u0219i datorit\u0103 pove\u0219tii n\u0103ucitoare pe care \u00eei este dat s\u0103 o aud\u0103, presupune c\u0103 are de a face cu un be\u021biv \u00een plin delir. \u00cens\u0103 so\u021bia necredincioas\u0103 nu mai revine \u00een han, \u00een ciuda frigului de afar\u0103 \u0219i a lipsei ve\u0219tmintelor. \u00cempreun\u0103 cu preotul traumatizat, amantul porne\u0219te s\u0103 o caute: urmele ei duc, prin z\u0103pad\u0103, drept la Mure\u0219 \u0219i acolo se opresc \u2013 iar trupul nu \u00eei va fi g\u0103sit niciodat\u0103. Pr\u0103bu\u0219it psihic, \u201efaunul\u201d este de p\u0103rere c\u0103 diavolul, aflat \u201eprin apropiere toat\u0103 noaptea\u201d \u0219i v\u0103z\u00e2nd-o dezm\u0103\u021bat\u0103, a chemat-o. C\u0103indu-se \u0219i vr\u00e2nd a isp\u0103\u0219i \u201emulte de toate\u201d, so\u021bul cu mintea zdruncinat\u0103 se pred\u0103 autorit\u0103\u021bilor comuniste (pe lista de suspec\u021bi a c\u0103rora se aflau, oricum, ca frondi\u0219ti, at\u00e2t el, c\u00e2t \u0219i disp\u0103ruta), ajung\u00e2nd, astfel, al\u0103turi de al\u021bi de\u021binu\u021bi politici, muncitor la Canal(ul Dun\u0103rea-Marea Neagr\u0103).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00cen epilog, naratorul caut\u0103 s\u0103 descifreze tr\u0103ita tragedie \u0219i s\u0103 descopere adev\u0103rul din spatele bolboroselilor supersti\u021bioase: a fost vizitatorul de la han doar un cioban mai ciudat ori, \u00eentr-adev\u0103r, \u201ealtceva\u201d? Balan\u021ba se \u00eenclin\u0103 c\u00e2nd spre o explica\u021bie ra\u021bional\u0103 a \u00eent\u00e2mpl\u0103rii, vehicul\u00e2ndu-se diverse scenarii (victima a reac\u021bionat sub imperiul fricii de r\u0103zbunarea tovar\u0103\u0219ului de via\u021b\u0103 pe care \u00eel tr\u0103dase, ori de teama zvonurilor c\u0103 ar fi a\u0219teptat-o arestarea pentru activit\u0103\u021bi anticomuniste, ori, poate, suferind teribil pentru c\u0103 amantul refuzase s\u0103 \u00ee\u0219i declare dragostea fa\u021b\u0103 de ea fiind, probabil, \u00eendr\u0103gostit de altcineva), c\u00e2nd spre una de factur\u0103 mistic\u0103 (bazat\u0103 mai mult pe \u00eenf\u0103\u021bi\u0219area ciobanului \u0219i pe vorbele sale \u00een dodii, dec\u00e2t pe m\u0103rturia dezl\u00e2nat\u0103 a brodnicului), p\u00e2n\u0103 \u00een momentul \u00een care se mai ive\u0219te o informa\u021bie pe care o putem considera decisiv\u0103: podul peste Mure\u0219 nu fusese luat de ape, cum pretinsese \u201eciobanul\u201d \u2013 prin urmare, singurul motiv logic pentru care acesta ar fi putut prefera trecerea cu brodul (scump\u0103, \u00eenceat\u0103, primejdioas\u0103 \u0219i implic\u00e2nd travers\u0103ri repetate, timp de ore \u0219i ore) era imposibilitatea de a str\u0103bate un ora\u0219, fie \u0219i \u00een toiul nop\u021bii, \u00eenso\u021bit de dou\u0103 mii de &#8230; lupi. <em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Raportat la teoria literar\u0103, <em>[O noapte de Sf\u00e2ntu Niculae] <\/em>apar\u021bine stilului func\u0163ional beletristic, curentului literar decadentist, genului literar epic, fiind, ca specie literar\u0103 (din punct de vedere formal \u0219i, respectiv, tematic) o nuvelet\u0103 gotic\u0103 \u0219i, ca subspecie literar\u0103, o nuvelet\u0103 gotic\u0103 fantastic\u0103 \u2013 \u00eens\u0103 nu una oarecare, ci una a c\u0103rei valoare \u00eel transform\u0103 pe L. Blaga \u00eentr-un important reprezentant at\u00e2t al literaturii gotice, c\u00e2t \u0219i al literaturii fantastice rom\u00e2ne\u0219ti \u0219i universale.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">#Note<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[1] Am ar\u0103tat, cu <a href=\"https:\/\/egophobia.ro\/?p=14590\">alt\u0103 ocazie<\/a>, motivele pentru care prefer\u0103m s\u0103 utiliz\u0103m, pentru desemnarea acestei specii literare, denumirea \u201eromant\u201d (\u0219i nu denumirea r\u0103sp\u00e2ndit\u0103 \u0219i \u201eoficial\u0103\u201d \u201eroman\u201d).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[2] Toate ghilimelele utilizate \u00een acest alineat \u00eencadreaz\u0103 cuvinte apar\u021bin\u00e2nd lui L.
