Song-objection-obsession, facing a grave not William Carlos Williams\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a tank, the cited obsession.
\nA prosperous eccentric, war veteran,
\ndecides, every once in a while,
\nto steamroll the door of a nearby cemetery,
\npulls his body up through the hatch,
\nand hums, walking through hallways,
\nnames of his fellow soldiers,
\nthere, under his eight wheels,
\nwhile, in the background now, he thinks,
\nfacing the cross of his beloved, to himself
\n\u201cWe weren’t married yet, of course,\u201d
\nbut, also,
\n\u201cThese are just the rules, right?\u201d<\/p>\n

It’s usually argued:
\nthe Old World descends, say,
\nfrom Jerusalem, from Athens;
