And Reality Vanished<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I\u2019m dreaming\u2026<\/p>\n

Or maybe not: <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

rhetorical firestorms causing<\/p>\n

My mind to burn,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

and ebony yesterdays<\/p>\n

are sinking into today,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

dull untruths,<\/p>\n

cover my<\/p>\n

absurdities,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

wolves sneering,<\/p>\n

footsteps faltering,<\/p>\n

aromas of death<\/p>\n

slinking into noise,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

broken promises,<\/p>\n

discarded coffins,<\/p>\n

and I am walking<\/p>\n

through time,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

all the<\/p>\n

thunderous lies<\/p>\n

trick me into a<\/p>\n

guileless absurdity,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

rundown minds<\/p>\n

complacent in<\/p>\n

ignorant simplicity,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

lies floating<\/p>\n

haphazardly\u00a0in a<\/p>\n

sky<\/p>\n

of contradictions,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

throw me into<\/p>\n

abject anxiety,<\/p>\n

causing reality<\/p>\n

to vanish.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Unreality Beacons <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thoughts,<\/p>\n

crumbling<\/p>\n

inside walls<\/p>\n

of emotional instability,<\/p>\n

bruised and beaten,<\/p>\n

pause on the threshold<\/p>\n

of the imaginary.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The tired faces<\/p>\n

on a homeless seer\u2019s<\/p>\n

Tarot cards, waver<\/p>\n

like pages of prefabricated<\/p>\n

untruths of a demented clown<\/p>\n

pretending to be a politician.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Thoughts, rattling<\/p>\n

like steel pellets<\/p>\n

in an oratorical tin soup can,<\/p>\n

enter my consciousness. They are<\/p>\n

coated with illogical symbols<\/p>\n

in a tattered copy<\/p>\n

of Agrippa von Nettesheim\u2019s ,<\/p>\n

\u201cDe Occulta Philosophia<\/a>,<\/p>\n

and for a brief moment,<\/p>\n

my world stood still.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

My thoughts,<\/p>\n

frozen inside screams<\/p>\n

melt in the toxic atmosphere<\/p>\n

of today\u2019s rhetoric,<\/p>\n

forming delusions of political<\/p>\n

unrealities.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I see politicians drunk<\/p>\n

with self importance<\/p>\n

sitting like pompous ravens<\/p>\n

on telephone lines,<\/p>\n

shining like yesterday\u2019s<\/p>\n

pale breath of death.<\/p>\n

Where can I escape<\/p>\n

to be free of this<\/p>\n

ominous present?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Yesterday was too short<\/p>\n

today is too long,<\/p>\n

tomorrow could be nonexistent.<\/p>\n

Memories like spinning<\/p>\n

images of forgotten hope<\/p>\n

live in the darkness of today\u2019s chaos.<\/p>\n

And today\u2019s existential chaos,<\/p>\n

is smothering reality.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Brutalizing of Minds<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n

Minds awakened<\/p>\n

along shaking shelves of salt,<\/p>\n

listening, unbelieving;<\/p>\n

mesmerized with<\/p>\n

lies.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A mouth full of blistering pain<\/p>\n

in an acidic pool<\/p>\n

of burning thoughts,<\/p>\n

eardrums not believing lies,<\/p>\n

belief barbed<\/p>\n

with poisonous arrows,<\/p>\n

eyes of stone,<\/p>\n

unseeing.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Truth strangled in mire,<\/p>\n

all traces of morality slain<\/p>\n

inside a white-domed asylum<\/p>\n

of stone,<\/p>\n

where destiny drowns<\/p>\n

in tears.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Chaotic thoughts,<\/p>\n

the voice of dark shadows<\/p>\n

removing truth<\/p>\n

with sackcloth sneers,<\/p>\n

blaspheming justice,<\/p>\n

stepping on truth.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Innocence robbed<\/p>\n

on the far side,<\/p>\n

becoming undone<\/p>\n

under the unseeing gaze.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The winding split<\/p>\n

like mounds of red dust,<\/p>\n

moving with an inanity;<\/p>\n

hearts blinded<\/p>\n

by wayward absurdities,<\/p>\n

coined by a stentorian mind,<\/p>\n

of a greedy,<\/p>\n

ambiguous being<\/p>\n
