\nThe steadfastness of an aspirer
\nis at times supported or reinforced
\nneither by personal strength nor the desire
\nto stay unwavering or for victory,
\nbut by the thought of those cherished encouragers\u2014
\nwaiting
\non tenterhooks not to be let down.
\n<\/p>\n

\n 
\n 
\nCells, Bones and Tissues<\/strong>
\n 
\nYou were thinking:
\nWho he to offer counsel? \u2014Boorish he
\nfor concluding I may be living recklessly!
\n<\/em>Your thoughts, if converted into words,
\nthe ending five choked you almost. But
\nthat wasn\u2019t all, for you afterwards felt
\nyour reflections may have served food
\nfor thought. Except you are so hesitant,
\nplus pompously obstinate.
\nIt is – however – simple:
\nI will run from this hazardous venture that
\nborrowed your cells, bones and tissues.<\/p>\n

\nHer Restless Mouth<\/strong>
\n 
\nhis eardrums at first reeled,
\ndisagreed, then
\nrebuked,
\nand after a dozen months of
\nfailed attempts to
\nrefuse to accept or adapt,
\nfinally began to lose sensation.
\n <\/p>\n

now stuck and
\nhaunted by menacing memories
\nof his own past melancholic days\u2014
\nthe very reason he now loathed
\nsolitude;
\nhe wished there were a third choice\u2014
\ncertain he would soon be charged
\nwith her murder
\nas her restless mouth went on to
