\nSeymour Mayne is the author, editor or translator of more than sixty books and monographs.\u00a0His writings have been translated into many languages, including French, German, Hebrew, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. His latest collections include Ricochet: Word Sonnets\/Sonnets d’un mot<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 2011 (a bilingual French edition of his word sonnets) and The Old Blue Couch and Other Stories<\/em> \u2013 2012, a volume of his selected short fiction.\u00a0\u00a0A fervent innovator of the word sonnet, he has given readings and lectured widely in Canada and abroad on this unique\u00a0new \u2018miniature\u2019 form. \u00a0He serves as Professor of Canadian Literature, Canadian Studies, and Creative Writing at the University of Ottawa.
