I Am an Engine

by Harris Coverley

I am an engine

White with heat

Pistons lubed

With blood and jism

Pumping-pumping-pumping

Steaming

Quietly

Like the flow of a hidden stream

I am an engine

Buried deep beneath

Dirt and crap and a hard
blackness

cased in

The hidden stream

Of power

And force

And chug and chug and chug

BOOM

I am an engine

My own light

In my own realm

Destined to fuck my way

Up to the surface

I am an engine

All parts fatigued by years of
neglect

Waiting to be replaced

Or waiting for a reprieve

I am

An

Engine

Engine

ENGINE

ENGINE

ENGINE

ENGINE

ENGINE

ENGINE

YES

NO

ONCE

CHRIST

DAMN

[system down]

[awaiting input]

I Am an Engine
